The trippy 'saiance' was absolutly hysterical!

with that guy wailing and screaming as he holds the blood cup, the people acting all high in a circle, the funk music, then he poors the blood on her and its just so damn FUNNY. how they took this so seriously is beyond me.

The guy screaming did it for me. As soon as he opened his mouth I was busting up laughing, the rest of it I thought was somewhat decently done, and would have been ok otherwise. Yeah but he was hilarious!

reply

Do you mean "séance"?

reply

I loved the seance scene. You can tell this guy was truly passionate about what he was doing and the occult was no joke to him. He actually creeped me out the first time I watched the film and I was very disturbed by that scene. I can watch it without a problem now, though.

Death lives in the Vault of Horror!

It was more of a "Black Mass" than a seance, but it was decently done considering what a cheesefest this flick is. :-)

reply

Yes, but when the grave starts to move outside and that odd music plays... nice and spooky!

The music is "Black Mass: An Electric Storm in Hell" from the 1969 album An Electric Storm by the group White Noise.

Delia Derbyshire (of Dr. Who fame) was one of the members of this group.

Every scene involving those tedious hippies is hilarious, I couldn't wait for Drac to start picking them off one by one.
