If he can resurrect and rise again, why can't his wife do the same without needing anything special, I mean just doesn't even make partial sense! I'm gonna watch anyway but just a confusing bit that loses me!

You know, I honestly do not know. I really did like Phibes Rises Again, but it was not for the story or the raw emotion that leaps of the screen like in the first movie. The sequel really did not make a whole lot of sense, as demonstrated by this dilemma, but it was still a fun little movie into opinion.

All it takes for Phibes is to be disembalmed where he lies to rise again. But his wife needs a remote underground fabulous River of Life to be resurrected. You're right. It is confusing.

To be perfectly honest, I found this whole movie as a whole to be confusing. I could barely make sense of what was going on at any given moment which is why I enjoyed the first film a lot more. But sometimes I have a tendency to daydream during important moments in films and get lost in my thoughts so that may be part of it.

Burn, witch! Burn, witch! Burn! Burn! Burn!

Some good comic moments among the confusion of this film. But I'm with you. The first Phibes film is a lot better than this one.
