where was this filmed, I know it was set on an island off the coast of cornwall. some of it looked like st ives but other parts didn't. anyone any ideas?

I take it one location was used for the village/small harbour scenes, and the other for the back of the island where the chemical waste/nuclear canisters were dumped? I'd be interested in finding out which station the RNLI Lifeboat came from (it sails past the camera at the evacuation scene at the end), i've found out which type it was and that there were two stations in Cornwall with one, but don't know which one it would be, I guess the easiest way would be finding out which station was closest to the location it was filmed

i think the barbour was in polperro, my mates live there but im not sure

Hi

Parts of it were filmed at a tiny little village called 'Polkerris' which is on the south coast of Cornwall between Par and Fowey. Just Google Image Polkerris. I used to live close by to it and enjoyed many a swim there, and a pint in the local pub which is called the 'Rashleigh Arms'. They do a good pint of 'Hicks Special Draft' H.S.D or 'High Speed Death' as we dubbed it!
