Doberman Gang remake

Apparently, Dean Devlin and Charles Segars had acquired rights to the Doberman Gang franchise. They had planned to produce a remake of the film. However, this was announced at least 4 years ago. I have been unable to locate current information regarding the progress. I suspect the project may be on hold. Has anyone heard anything recently?

I heard about it a long time ago also, nothing concrete, just that it was going to be remade. I really enjoyed the original when I was just a kid and have wanted to rewatch it ever since. I'mma have to go find a copy. Also didn't know there was a sequal, I'm gonna go check the IMDB page for that, now.

I have a "double Feature" DVD pack labeled "WB Archive Collection". It has "The Doberman Gang" (1972) and "The Daring Dobermans" (1973). If I can just find "The Amazing Dobermans", I'll have the set.

I found the double feature on www.overstock.com but I'm sure other places will have it. Other good places to check www.kinolorber.com or www.ccvidieo.com.

In fact... here ya go... for $16.91

Do Dobermans even exsist anymore? Hell, all I see nowadays are pit bulls and rottweilers. These were pretty cool movies though, I'd love to see a revival of the franchise.

Yeah, they exist. I see them from time to time at my dog park.

Anyway, here's what I dug up on the latest remake news. Apparently, Caesar Millan is going to be involved.

Finally, this film's getting remade...

This is not a perfect film, but an awesome concept and for the todays capability in filmmaking, the outcome can be expected huge if the cast and writing meets perfection.
