I must have missed something.
That's the guy Ed shot with his arrow. He thought it was the hillbilly, but noticed afterwards that he had all his teeth. The sherriff mentions him, saying he went out in the woods hunting and hadn't returned.
shareThe deputy's brother in law WAS the toothless hillbilly. After Ed shot him with his arrow and killed him, he had a great big scare because he noticed that the guy he killed had all his teeth. Then he double checked and saw that all the front teeth were just a prosthesis. So, yeah, he killed the right guy, who later turned out to be the deputy's brother in law.
