Pleasence is damned amazing in this movie.

The bar scene was the stuff of legends.

"Sometimes I wish policemen were like elephants.... Big feet and a long memory!" Pleasence owns this film!!!

Pleasence is indeed the highlight of this film. Kudos also to Christopher Lee, who can do more in a 2 minute appearance than most actors can do in an entire film.

I love to love my Lisa.

Sir Christopher is just a little bit awesome! I had the pleasure of meeting him 11 years ago in Nottingham at a signing. Such a great guy.

Pleasence gives a masterclass in scene stealing, correction, in FILM stealing.
He makes this film the perfect post-pub viewing. In between the scenes with Mr Mindthedoors, it's either scenes of sublime comedy from Pleasence or the dullest tedium from that American chappie and his pretty but unremarkable girlfriend.
Here's my highlights;
- tea!
- phone call to the minsiter's office with the posh accent
- darts and tea
- bar scene and subsequent hangover
- "will there be anything else sir?" "Beard"
- more tea

Do NOT attempt the infamous drinking games 'Minethadaws' and 'tea!' unless you are skilled at stirring cups of tea with a dart.

See "Wake In Fright' for a great performance by Donald Pleasance. I'm halfway through "Raw Meat" and don't quite know what to make of it....yet.

He was. His performance makes the film for me.
