I wonder if this was Stephen King's inspiration for the story of Timmy Bateman in Pet Sematary? I've not seen this film, but the plot sounds very similar, except that in Pet Sematary, of course, Timmy was deliberately resurrected by his father.
shareMan, that was the first thing I tought after watching this movie for the first time! It´s very similar, Son dies in Vietnan, father can´t accept it, he comes back to life as an evil, damaged, rotting person... the father tries to ignore the changes, but in the end kills himself and the boy
The movie and the Book WERE inspired by the Monkey´s Paw, but the zombie vietnan veteran is too specific.
My favorite King Book btw :)
Except Timmy was a WW2 vet not a Vietnam vet.
