The music in this movie

Did anyone find the music in this movie pretty scary? If you don't know what music i'm talking about, I remember it's played at the beginning when Andy get's shot. The music is playing, you can hear his mother in the background saying "You promised me.." in slow motion. I found the music pretty scary. Does anyone know where I can find that music?

I don't remember the music in that particular scene, but he used a lot of the this movie's music in "Black Christmas".

Agreed, the music in this movie is chilling. The composer is Carl Zittrer. I doubt there was ever any official release of the score, but if you typed Carl Zittrer into soulseek, or did some heavy sifting through google, you could probably find some. Or try to find a fan-made page, sometimes they have audio files (i got some of the music from Let's Scare Jessica to Death that way). Good luck!

Yes, Carl Zittrer did a lot of music for Bob Clark's films and all of it was tremendously moody and disturbing. Great stuff.

The music is very scary. When I had it on VHS (taped off of television), I wrote "AAAndyyyyyyy" on the label, because that was what the whispering said through the music. The whole movie was chilling!

Also, the piano that plays faster and faster when they walk down the stairs is unnerving.

The audio throughout this is unsettling for sure. At one point Andy is remembering his youth and faint children’s voices are heard. Add the piano and all the slow moving dread, and scenes like this get intense.

reply

The music is great but I found it a bit distracting because it was the same as the music in Black Christmas (1974).
