Scene reminiscent of this in another film, please help....

There was a movie I saw quite some time ago which had a woman that wished her dead husband back to life - maybe via an old vase or something, and I remember that he was screaming because he had been embalmed. Maybe it was a part of a multi-short-story movie? If anyone knows what this was, I'd love to see it again.

The movie that you are talking about is Tales from the Crypt with Joan Collins. This movie came out in the late 1960's. It has either four or five short stories. The embalmed husband is one of the stories.

Both this movie and the "Tales From The Crypt" segment are based on an old short story called "The Monkey's Paw", in which a parent uses a cursed monkey paw to wish for money. They are awarded money as a settlement after their that her son is killed in a horrible factory accident. The dead man's mother wishes that her son would return to life but she neglects to wish that he had never been killed in the accident in the first place and it is indicated that his horribly mangled, reanimated corpse is on her doorstep before the dead boy's father uses the monkey paw to make a third wish and return the boy to his grave. -- the story ( and several adaptations ) are written of on Wikipedia

Repetition is funny. Why ? Because repetition is funny.

i watched tobe hoopers "salems lot" yesterday and noticed that he copied the scene where andys father threatens his son with the gun at the end. its the scene where jason berk points the gun at mike ryerson who turned into a vampire. i was very surprised and also happy to see that hooper payed homage to this great movie.
