This movie scared me alot and I will not even watch it this day. I was like 8 when I seen it one night with my older sister.

Possible Spoilers----

I remember the opening scene like a younder woman who had a funny eye, like she was beat up ro deformed or something talking to her mother and it was like back along time ago like the 40's and the cameria pans down a hallway and you see a human arm and a ax and then you see the mother dead in the kitchen chair missing a arm? I think this is the same film? Also I remember years later a fat old woman getting off a bus and she sang a song "Jesus loves the little children of the world" and also a body hanging in the smokehouse? or something? Let me know if this was in the movie or maybe I got it wrong. All I know it grossed me out and I will not see it again. I thought it was way gory for the time. Let me know if this was the movie and anyone thoughts about this movie and its content. Thanks all!

Based on what you described, I believe this is the same movie. I, too, was about your age when I saw it late one night on TV and it also scared the hell out of me.

The only thing I don't rememeber in your description is a body hanging in the smokehouse.

Everything elso you decribed I do remember.

I also remember the lady's (named Grace) head being chopped off with an ax while she was sitting in Delilah's wheelchair- who had just been murdered herself.

I plan on watching this movie again as I hear it's on DVD now.

Delilah had disappeared, but she wasn't actually dead at that point. Can't say any more without spoiling the ending.
