shareWatching widescreen films on Encore Westerns is impossible....they always show a cropped or pan and scan version. I only watch pre-1953 films or 1 : 1.85 aspect ratio films which are tolerable. This 1972 film is 1 : 2.35 and will look HORRIBLE on Encore Westerns.
shareThey show it on TCM-HD as well, also in a horrible pan-and-scan version. The picture quality is pretty good, shame half or more of the picture has been cut off the sides.
Don't MGM own the rights to this? Pretty disgusting to suffer P&S in this day and age. I may end up watching it though, as it doesn't seem to be available elsewhere in any better quality.
