Blood Feast?

Who changed the title on IMDB? Was this film ever called Blood Feast? There's no feasting in this excellent giallo.

I spent a couple of hours researching this, and I can't find anything in common between the two titles. Blood Feast is an obscure film, different from La Dama Rossa Uccide Sette Volte, unless there was some bootleg distributor in the USA that used that title randomly...

The UK and international English title was The Red Queen Kills 7 Times, used in Spain, Portugal, Greece, and France with their equivalent literal translations. That should be the title to be retained - but imdb is not so much an international database as it is American (as in USA centered) database.

I would try to update that, by deleting the Blood Feast (and Feast of Flesh - also wrong, as far as I can see), but I'm not 100% sure that those titles were never used in the USA.

I have this book about giallos (gialli ?), 'Blood & Black Lace', and the author lists some alternative titles for this. He does mention Blood Feast and Feast of Flesh as alternate US release titles, and Horror House as the German title.

I'm more surprised about the IMDB title Cry Of A Prostitute: Love Kills. Never seen that anywhere! I mean, for once there aren't even any prostitutes killed in this movie. Is that title just a mistake?

Then again, it seems that every giallo has at least 4 different names, and even in the book I had a hard time finding this movie, as it's not listed under the original title but under L - The Lady In Red Kills Seven Times.

All The Colors Of The Dark, for example, is listed as They're Coming To Get You .. not even under Tutti I Colori Del Buio. I had never heard it called that before, although there's a picture of a poster to prove it...

go figure!

yes, gialli is the plural form of giallo :)

I would agree that the naming of this film is incorrect. Blood Feast does not describe this film at all. It should be 'the Lady in Red Kills Seven Times'. If you consider Emilio Miraglia's other film is called 'La notte che Evelyn uscì dalla tomba' literally translated to The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave.

This may shed some light. I was watching New Years Evil (Cannon 1980) a few days ago. There is a scene where the killer drives his car into a Drive-In Theater and the large screen was showing a trailer for a film called "Blood Feast." I immediately thought "this isn't Blood Feast" thinking of the HG Lewis film, but I quickly realized that the scenes they were showing were indeed from The Red Queen Kills Seven Times. Then the trailer goes into the 1976 anthology film Blood Bath.

So I would guess that Cannon bought distributing rights to Red Queen in order to re-name it and pair it up with Blood bath. I found an ad:

I can't find the trailer, but it does exist!
