There is a video called Run Baby Run and it is about Nicky Cruz. It isnt really a movie though, more of a documentry. Unless there are two versions made.

i cant wait for this film, i hope they keep it REAL and RAW, i loved the book
i also really liked the book “cross and the switchblade” but the film felt like they dumbed it down for the churchies takeing away the realness and the horror and hoplessnes that i loved in the book
i hope they make this film hardcore, make it R and keep it real, show blood and show the slums how they are, the guns and the drugs only that way can they really show the change that Nicky went thou because of findding Jesus

I have just watched this again after many years. Though it seems they tone down the "Jesus loves you" from the book and make it "God loves you" - ("He who does not have the Son does not have life..."), I still loved it. Glad to see David Wilkerson is still going strong... (Pat Boone? Erik Estrada was great in the film, anyone know anything about him...?)
Loved "Run baby run" too. I remember reading it in Hungarian on a train from Veszprém to Debrecen in about 1980... Though I guess that is pretty irrelevant...
