Charlie didn't get a headstone

Why didn't Charlie (the boy stampeded to death while retriving the dropped pair of glassess) get a headstone also? Seems kind of unfair that he didn't.

reply

Maybe he did on the way home, but they just didn't show it.

reply

Charlie was a jew.

This falls into the "don't think too much - it's just a movie" catagory, but it bothered me too.

************SPOILERS**************

One would assume that Charlie's parents would send somebody back to get his body and bring it home for a proper burial. Same holds for The Duke's wife, but remember what happened with him? On the way home they couldn't find the place where they buried him, so Mr. Nightlinger says, "I think this is close enough" and they put the headstone down close to where they think they buried him. Oh great! I wonder if his wife will even bother sending someone back to look for his body? Pretty careless if you ask me.

"Push the button, Max!"

reply

Someone who knew how to look could easily find burial sites. If not properly mounded a grave sinks the next spring.
