An amusing story about the premiere of this movie...

I was at this premiere 35 years ago ((I was ten years old), as the actress who played Angie, is my aunt's sister. We were sitting in the balcony with Dee and her family. She had two young children, one being a son. In an early scene, the character of Angie begins to change out of her nurses uniform, and has only a bra underneath. At this time you hear a young boy (Dee's son) yell out in a very quiet theater, "MOMMY, WHAT are you DOING???" I remember the whole audience laughing at this point.

I catch it now and then on the local late nite eerie story show, and it never ceases to to make me laugh.

Isn't the movie just horrible!!

Just thought it was an amusing story!

Can you remember anything else?

Good point!

Just stuff like, how many people were there? Was it a small scale screening or was there like 1000 or so people there.

Off the topic slightyly but is Ted V. Mikels a millionare? Surely his movies alone didn't pay for his castle.

I went to the premier in St. Louis when it came out. There was a long line outside and someone in authority was making everyone sign a 'waiver' that they wouldn't sue if they had a heart attack or some such malady.

I thought the movie rocked but I was probably a bit stoned at the time. After all it was the seventies. I remember the slogan of the Cat Food Company was "For cats who like people." Hah! Hilarious.

One thought, isn't your aunt's sister also your aunt?

Not necessarily. It could possibly be her Mom. ;)

I know this is old but the Aunt is probably married to her Uncle. So therefore it would not be her aunt through blood.

Example: My father's brother (My uncle) marries Lisa and she has a sister. Only Lisa is my aunt - through marriage.

I enjoyed this movie for what it is. Good to know that the people who made it had a good time with it. My best to Dee.

Your story reminds me of one about Whit Bissell taking his young daughters to see Creature from the Black Lagoon. When the hand of the creature reaches through the cabin window, his youngest cried out, "It's going to get Daddy!!"
