I agree. With all the wonderful and intriguing ABC TV movies of the 70's, in my opinion this is the only clinker. I also found it boring.

It was interesting but the ending was a disappointment.

It's not bad but doesn't deserve the reputation it got over the years. Worth a watch if you're into the Twilight Zone and Outer Limits.
