What happens to this movie when Robert Frank passes away?
The guy's 85 years old now, and it got me to thinking....what happens to the film rights once he meets his maker? Will his share pass exclusively into the hands of the Stones, or do his family members retain them? Kinda hope so, cos we all know damned well that if all rights do revert to them pesky Glimmer Twins, there's a very good chance that they'll torch the negs and that'll be the end of that. Let's face it, I honestly don't think that Sir Mick being a Knight of the Realm would want people to see him fondling himself on their big screen tv...what would the Queen do? Revoke his charter and send the guy to the Black Tower?
That'd be a hoot, wouldn't it?
Slap that degenerate in IRONS!! Off with his HEAD!! Aw who knows, right? Maybe enough time has passed that a well turned out deluxe limited edition would be something for the boys to seriously ponder..Jagger himself even admitted that it was a fantastic film, and the only reason that he and the others fought against it's release cos they were afraid they'd be thrown out on their ear if they ever tried to tour the States. Well, it's now nearly 40 years later and I really think it's time they did something with it....does anyone really think that Mick's initial concern is even relevant now? Don't think so, dude. Thoughts anyone?
