this is like the Sunset Blvd. of the 60s youth revolution era. edie is the alcoholic has-been living at her decrepit family estate, still obsessing over her days as girl of the year and superstar of the silver factory. and then she drags a young drifter into her web, someone to keep her company and someone to pass her story on to.
