Everywhere I look, such as Ebay, Amazon, Buy.com, the DVD for all the Showa Godzilla movies are up to $59.99-$150 now.
Why have the prices for these old Godzilla movies on DVD so expensive now? They used to be like $7.00 when they first came out. Can somebody please help me?

They are out of stock at a lot of places. Some of the high prices you're seeing are from people trying to make a large profit on them from die hard fans since they're difficult to find.
shareGodzilla vs Gigan, Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla, Godzilla vs Hedorah, Son of Godzilla, and Godzilla vs the Sea Monster are all out of print on dvd. Sony used to have the rights to these five films, but their rights expired and they didn't bother renewing them. Probably weren't selling well enough.

Hey, just got back from walmart and picked up this movie and Godzilla vs the Sea Monster for $10 each, they must have re-released them to cash in on the new movie hype.
