I thought this film was a good deal of infectiously inane and outrageous fun myself. The protracted mondo destructo city stomp sequence totally hit the satisfying spot. Moreover, the monster fight sequences were incredibly lengthy, violent and vigorous. The scenes with the behemoth beasts roaring and rumbling to each other prior to mixing it up are hysterically funny. And the evil alien cockroaches were really cool. I give it an 8 out of 10.

I'm attempting to watch all Godzilla movies since I'm such a fan and I grew up on the big guy. This would probably be my second favorite Godzilla flick of all, so far, but I haven't gotten through half, yet.

The storyline (not involving Godzilla) is solid and complete, just like you can always expect. Alien cockroaches are strange, yes, but it's a Godzilla flick. You have to sit down and just enjoy yourself. Godzilla movies are renown for undersea civilizations and extravagant monsters.

I was surprised by the enthralling music halfway through the fight scenes (which countered the high-spirited music as the human characters are investigating the theme park personnel). The music at the end was also above average.

I guess the only parts that I did not like were the dialogue between Godzilla and Anguirus as well as when baseball was played with giant boulders.

Otherwise, sSpecial effects were just as expected (and sufficed), stock footage fit right in, fight scenes were sufficiently thought out (Godzilla and Anguirus are first beaten, then do the beating), and so forth. I liked it.
