When did you first see this? Where were you? What did you think?

and how OLD were you. What do you think now?

ME:
1976. Junior high age. Sunday movie on local station... 6 pm. It was either cold or chilly and cloudy out -- may have been winter. Was watching it with my youngest brother. Scared the *beep* out of me!
Later it turned up on local "late night Spooky movie show " on Saturday nights on a local TV station. Played like once a year all through the early 1980s. We would actually PLAN our weekends around the viewing of this movie! (This was just before VHS rentals were the norm) but it was FUN I tell ya'.
Later bought the VHS. Then the cheapie DVD (public domain?) .
Then the deluxe DVD (with the AWESOME commentary track) .
Sad that not one good master print exists. The "greenish" tint on the later DVD kind of ruins it for me and actually- the cheapie DVD looks better?
Anyone wanna add??????????????
Today -- it's a classic movie in my collection and makes me feel better when I'm down. A comfort movie that will be with me forever!

"In every dimension , there's another YOU!"

I first saw it in about 2011 when I was 17 years old. I'd heard a little bit about it and watched the trailer on YouTube, so I decided to order a cheap DVD of it which was on a double feature with "The Undertaker and His Pals." I remember thinking it was a weird film when I first watched it, but I wasn't entirely sure whether or not I liked it. Now, after watching it several times, it is my favorite "non-Romero" zombie movie ever made. It is bizarre, great fun, and although the zombies don't really appear until close to the end there still isn't a boring moment in the entire film.

1985, I was ten years old and had seen the preview several days earlier and became obsessed with watching it. It aired on a Saturday afternoon after the cartoons were over. My dad had taken over the family TV once the cartoons were off so I watched it on a little b/w in my room. I was so determined not to miss it I watched a kung fu movie the station aired right before it. I know it's pretty tame compared to other horror movies, but I loved it and still do.

It was in 1979, NewYear's Eve/NewYears ('80).. back when they played a marathon of horror films every New Year's Eve 'til around '84 or '85.

I was grade school age and I recall the very beginning scene scared the hell out of me. Since there was mostly chit-chat in most of the film, I don't think I was able to stay awake 'til the end.

I think it was 10 years ago (or so) that I finally watched the whole film.

I'm watching it right now on Amazon Video, and the picture quality looks Great! Best I've ever seen it look!

Well this is a bit embarrassing. When did I first see this movie? last night. How old was I? 45. And I'm a lover of horror movies, films from the 60s and 70s, and zombie movies if they are well done! How did I miss this one.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. I knew nothing about it going into it, and was surprised that it was so unique since these days I feel that the whole zombie thing has been done to death. I will have to watch it again. I especially enjoyed the oddball characters.

Well, I saw it at the drive-in when it first came out. I was 11 or 12, depending on when in the year. I turned 12 in November 1972. I talked my parents into taking me to this movie and they were so bored. I was disappointed because the characters kept talking and it wasn't really scary until the end.

I'm watching it now for the first time since then, out of nostalgic curiosity. It still isn't very scary, though I probably now have a greater appreciation for the striped pants.

Bingo! You must’ve lived in my house. Same exact memory. I think it was on WOR channel 9 Sunday 5pm movie and it was dreary out. Got dark out early in the mid winter. Spooked the shit out of me, couldn’t believe what I was watching. Had to be 9 10 years old. Oh the memories.

Late night TV in the northeast around 1977, age 15
I saw it a few times , it was played often back then.
I was a huge Night if the Living Dead fan, so the ending impressed me.
I’m watching it now on Amazon Prime , and it looks remarkably clean.
