i don't buy the trivia bit about apologies

don't get me wrong... i'm sure its true -- but you can tell by looking at almost every scene that this film was conceived and executed by total hacks.

if i were the studio i would also have tried to "fix it in post"... but that was never a real possibility since what was obviously written and shot is undeniably and absolutely terrible.

e.g., chandler can only operate 30's/40's-era vehicles, the stupid dialogue... the sun-shiny "rain scene" and so on.

these guys were in full CYA form before "CYA" ever meant anything.

love the cast, hate the movie.
