Nothing personal

I of course knew nothing about Enrico Mattei before watching this film. In fact, I did not even know if he's a real person until I looked him up after finishing the film. I learned that the film is even partly a documentary. It's a well made film but not an easy one to watch for an average viewer. The main reason for that is the total absence of any personal story line in the film. Most viewers are used to see some personal stuff about characters in films (family life, love affairs etc.). This film had none if it. It reminded me of the film Z (1969), which was similar in that respect. Such impersonal films are not very easy to watch. But that was probably the intention of the director.
