I don't see the goofs

I just watched the Valachi DVD and I don't see the "goofs" listed on IMDB and complained about in people's comments (World Trade Center, etc). I have a feeling that these were only visible on previous video/TV releases because they were shown "open matte" instead of matted to the proper ratio like the current dvd, thus showing more top and bottom than intended.
Or maybe I"m blind--does anyone else see the goofs on the DVD?

I have seen this movie several times (including the newly released DVD). I noticed the modern car driving down the street the first time I saw it. I haven't seen the World Trade Center, but I never looked for it before.

Also, check out the other goof that is not listed here (I just submitted it). When Bronson gets attacked in the prison shower, there are at least 2 camera angles where you can see that he is not naked, but is wearing a pair of bikini briefs.

The World Trade Center is clearly visible early on, when Bronson drives into the river after being chased by the cops after the silk robbery. It is definatly visible on the DVD, but I don't know that it would show up on a pan & scanned version.

Viva Bronson !

I have really got to watch this movie. I saw only about 35 minutes of it the other day when shown on the History Channel. I did however spot a goof not listed by IMDb. During the scene where Valachi's buddy shows up with two girls and informs him that the scheduled meeting with Maranzano is cancelled, one of the girls takes the buddy into the bedroom. In there she says to him playfully, "Me Jane, you Tarzan", paraphrasing a line from the first Weismueller Tarzan flick. This scene takes place in June of 1930, and "Tarzan, the Ape Man" from which that line was taken, wasn't released until March of the following year.

I clearly saw the WTC in the DVD I just rented from netflix and I didnt even know it was coming

The WTC towers are seen at 18 minutes when Valachi drives into the East River. They can be seen again at 1 hour 44 minutes (just the tops of the towers behind the ship). I have screenshots of both at my website. (wtcinmovies.tripod.com)

I don't understand those goofs with the cars. The filmakers clearly had access to vintage automobiles! So, did they think that people wouldn't notice??

And as far as the WTC....It's blatant. You can see both towers with cranes on top of them, as they were nearing completion.

For the most part, the film seemed to pay attention to detail. But those little slip ups are hilarious!!

I just watched it last night, and while I enjoyed the film, it had perhaps the sloppiest attention to period correct details I've ever seen. Cars, buildings, various props, hairstyles etc.

Also, Albert Anastasia was killed in a pink barber chair. The chairs in the shop were all blue. This chair is famous, as I saw it in Little Italy, New York at an Italian Mafia showcase tour, which eventually went back to Las Vegas.
