Best movie goof ever...

There is a car chase scene that is supposed to take place in the 1930s or 1940s, and one of the cars crashes into a river with the New York City skyline behind it, and the twin towers, which weren't built until 1974, are fully visible in the shot. Probably the most obvious goof I've ever seen in a movie.

Love Bronson though.

If it were made today, they wouldn't have to worry about that particular anachronism.

Back then they couldn't block it out digitally, but they could have used a matte painting. It's sad to see pictures of the towers and knowing what happened to them. The should have built them up again the same way they were.

Wait if the towers were not built until 1974 how could you see them in a shot from a movie filmed in 1971/2???

reply

They were under construction at the time of filming.
