Charles Martin Smith in cameo in restaurant?

While watching "Brian's Song" (1971), my brother believed he saw Charles Martin Smith (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001747/) sitting in the background during a scene in a restaurant with Sayers (Billy Dee Williams), Piccolo (James Caan), and their respective wives. I found no credit on his or the BS pages on IMDB. Does anyone know if he appeared in that film?
