I found it by googling the "Wheel Inn Motel" which they run past. Looks much different today. The motel is closed. Most of the buildings have been replaced.

I love the look of the towns in this movie. They are so much better than the modern McDonalds/Burger King/WalMart generic look of most South Western towns today. I wish I could find the location of the saloon where they meet the two cowboy bullies.

Found it! The Connor Hotel in Jerome, AZ. It's where they stopped for burgers and met the two bullies.

Turn around and you see where they parked the exterminator truck.
