And did Billie Jean make it out.
That was Rose saying her kids were just like her. She never did find out what her daughters did to Netta.
Netta arranged for Billie Jean to finish school with her, wherever she was located. Last scene is Billie Jean dressed up and with her suitcase packed. At first Rose won't say goodbye to her. She stays in her bedroom with the door closed. At the last minute she comes out and gives her a hug. Billie Jean gets into a cab and ESCAPES!
