The clothes are pretty fab...

I wonder if they were all constructed from scratch by the same designer, or if the wardrobe was pieced together from different sources, or what.

They're very bold and colorful and sort of sleekly fancy, with a 1930's influence.

I love Petra's peach colored robe with the white fur, and her green dress at the end. And then that dress with all the jewelry across the bodice is certainly creative and oppulant.

Yes the clothes are wonderful - also Karin in her first appearances in the movie is costumed as a twin to Petra - when they first meet she has similar hair, and is wearing a costume of the same unusual design idea, a below-hip-length fur-trimmed jacket over a long skirt; the second time she appears, when she comes to be seduced, her gown is also cut like Petra's, with a bra-like upper part, cut out/strappy in the back, though Karin's top is emphatically "slave-girl," with a subdued sword-and-sandals look and a super-pointy bra/top. And then she wears a slave collar too.

Does anybody know who did the costumes for the film? I'm a fashion student and I'd really like to know.

Just found out it was by Maja Lemcke. Going to take a look at her work.
