CLEARLY the standout cameo of this wonderful little flick! There's a lot to be said about the way Hagman keeps trying to peek under Meredith's serape, the weird banter between them, and the hilarious failed attack on the blob after it eats a drunk/stoned Clacker-playing-with Hagman. It all adds up to one of the greatest WTF cinematic moments of all time, a true feat for a movie filled with WTF moments.

I thought that was Burgess Meredith but I wasn't sure because his name wasn't in the credits. I wonder why that was.

Meredith was Hagman's neighbor. Hagman asked him if he wanted to "get blobbed" and he did it for fun, as did a couple other of Hagman's pals.
