The French Conspiracy and The Outside Man

I'm a bit confused by this movie. I ahve an old UK VHS called The French Conspiracy with Scheider on the cover wrestling with a lady, however I have noticed online posters for another movie starring Scheider called The Outside Man featuring the same artwork.

I can't watch the VHS back as I have no VCR anymore, the VHS is just a keep sake as I'm a Scheider fan. Has anyone seen both of them and know if they are related?

Best,

Gareth

I own and have seen both. They are not related at all. L'Attentat (The French Conspiracy) is in the vein of many of the classic Italian political thrillers of the era, while The Outside Man is an excellent neo-noir with wonderfully gritty 70's L.A. landscapes. It's really a shame that both are not available in their original uncut versions. Also, it is interesting to see Bruno Cremer in L'Attentat, but he doesn't share any direct scenes with Roy in the copy I have.

P. S. I actually have a UK PAL tape myself, but its of anther Scheider film called Assignment Munich.
