Amazing

I just watched this film for the first time today and I have to say it's a masterpiece. Probably in my top 5 favorite horror anthologies of all time. Could have used a dash of blood, but I must say everything about this movie is great. The music, the acting, Peter freakin' Cushing and the overall story was brilliant.

Easily a 9/10

I love this film and I eventually got it on DVD the other week, it was a German import as it doesn't seem to be available on UK release.

I always seemed to catch the film half way through on TV late at night while channel-hopping, usually during the weird tailor segment. So it was great to finally see the whole film from start to finish.

I just bought the German import version, too. Thankfully it has the original English available without subtitles.

It also fixes a colour glitch that prevailed on the TV release (and for all I know, on the original film) - the blood was bright pink and totally fake-looking.

The restitution of life is no great feat. A variety of deaths may well enter into your punishment

Yes, this film is very fun. Every Amicus Production that I've seen has been wonderful so far, their anthology films being the best. They are some of my favorites of all time and I wish the anthology films today (like V/H/S) had the classic, suspenseful atmosphere these films did.

Hammer films too! I love these 60's/70's classics. An isolated house or a far off the beaten path mansion depicted in these old movies are much scarier than modern horror flicks. Because back then, you are truly isolated with just the landline as your only way of communication.

I loved it too!
