Not as Bad as All That

This film is regarded as one of the worst made by many critics and writers. I saw it when first released. It is worth watching if you enjoy period dramas.

I found one of these critiques: In the trivia section, it is said that this is one of the films included in "The Fifty Worst Films of All Time (and how they got that way)" by Harry Medved and Randy Lowell. That list also includes Alain Resnais' Last Year at Marienbad! And one of those critics (!) choose Richard Burton as the worst actor of all time! How could you believe in those kind of people?!

The movie is not magnificent. But it is neither a disaster.

Alain Delon's nervous assassin was a rather interesting character. That was worth seeing. Other than that, the movie didn't offer much.
