I heard on the Oprah show Chris Rock's new movie is based on this film Do u see the similarities in the trailers? This has me interested in seeing Chloe In The Afternoon just to see where his inspiration came from? How bout u guys?

Me too.I watched the "Inside The Actors: Chris Brown" interview and they kept naming movies, friends of his and his inspirations. I already made a list of 4 movies I am gonna watch which I'm sure are really(really really)good movies.
This is Rohmer's best, but if you're in to Chris Rock and his sense of humour then I don't know if this will be your thing.
shareOut of the six moral tales, I much prefer The Collector and Claire's Knee, but Rohmer's a brilliant writer, I love his aesthetics. I love Chris Rock too. He's a brilliant comedian. So don't be so quick to come to a "non-conclusion". In fact, Chris Rock's favorite filmmaker is Woody Allen who you can easily compare to Rohmer.
shareWhatever. Rock is a one-trick pony and a long-time has-been. I liked his brand of "shocking" comedy when I was 14 too, and am surprised that more people don't grow out of him. To place his name next to E. Rohmer or Woody Allen is more offensive than any "edgy" joke he's told.

Chris Rock's film has a scene where he has an insatiable Viagra-induced erection.
As for differences, I Think I Love My Wife has more scenes where the main character spends time with his wife, whereas Rohmer's film is essentially made-up of scenes involving Chloe and those which don't have Frederic all flustered and displacing his emotional energy. I'm sure there are far more differences, but the main one is that Rock's is one that tries to make you laugh whereas Rohmer's is one that tries to make you think.
