wasn't alice beautiful?

o.k i saw the film for the first time this year. (2005) i then found out it was made in 1970 somthing. i was increadibly amazed at how beautiful the girl playing Alice was. i also thought that she looked incredibly like kirstern dunts of spiderman 1 and 2 fame.

you're right. I also think she looks like Kirsten Dunst. The first time I saw her was as Anastasia in "Nicholas and Alexandra". She looked identical to when Kirsten Dunst was in "Toy Soldiers"

reply

wow. same here. Fiona Fullerton reminds me a lot of Kirsten Dunst, only more beautiful. This is probably my favorite version of Alice.

just saw this, she was very pretty.

She was only 16 when she made this and is, indeed, a spitting image of Kirsten Dunst.

Or maybe Kirsten Dunst is a spitting image of a young Fiona Fullerton?

reply

She is beautiful, but her performance was somewhat over the top. No nuance, same tempo...she overdid all that could be overdone. She sounded and seemed a bit too selfassured Fiona the actress, and less a confused and lost Alice.

Just watched a VERY cheap copy of "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland" (I paid $1.00 for the dvd in a store in Michigan) and thought she was a babe!, then I found out it was made in 1972 and now I'm depressed! She still looks great, but I am 8 years younger than her! (I was born in 1964). I was hoping she was at least my age, but alas, it was not mean't to be! Still, I loved the film even though it was a 'crap' copy, is it commercially available on a legitimate dvd?

Yes, it's coming out on March 17th in the UK, with a copy of the book thrown in free. Good quality transfer too, and it should cost around £10.

You're right...Fiona "Alice" Fullerton was, and still is, beautiful. Then again, anybody who makes the transition from child star to Bond Girl can't be a slouch, to say the least. And her Russian accent wasn't bad, either; why we never saw her again after A VIEW TO A KILL is beyond me. Would've been great to see her and Timothy "007" Dalton paired for a joint assignment; just imagine THE SPY WHO LOVED ME revisited.

Moreover, Fullerton is the only "Alice" I've ever seen who actually looks HAPPY when she falls into that Pool of Tears. Remember how she chuckles just before she starts swimming? I don't know whether that was scripted or ad-libbed. Does anybody else?
