Extremely watchable

This is more intriguing, entertaining and funnier than so-called mainstream films. It's slow but not stagnant and the melancholic music is quietly powerful. Even Kinski is not as hammy as he usually is.

Usually, when I visit some older European art films, I get bored. But this one was too good. Understated but not boring at all.
