whose the italian guy in the beginning

Does anybody know that guy who walks into the apartment in the first scene. he's actually one of two guys, he doesn't even really say anything, but he looks so damn familiar and i cant figure out from where. i think he might be in the godfather or some other gangster movie but i was wondering if any of you crazy film buffs knew. thanks.

I think you're refering to Burt Young. Played lots of hoods. Was also Paulie from the Rocky movies.

How can anyone forget Burt Young. The moment I saw him I shouted Paulie and his name was not even in the opening credits.

He is also the cuckolded husband in "Chinatown".
