Deeply moving war classics

This film floored me every time I watched it. Gosh, I have watched it at least 10 times since the early 80s. Lots of old Soviet Union films are just, you know, touched the bottom of your heart. One of the top three war films of all time.

I really wish that someone can restore the film in its original glorious uncut version. Hello, Criterion and MoC? Or Arrow films?
