how do you litereally pronounce the title of this movie?

is it just 'dollar'?

reply

No, it's pronounced '$'!

reply

so... "money"?

reply

For the US advertisements, the title "$" was always followed by "Dollars" in parenthesis, to avoid confusion. The opening sequence of the film, with a huge gold dollar sign being hoisted through the air by a crane was the only time the "title" of the movie appeared on the screen.

reply

Most people call the film “Dollars” for the sake of conversational sanity. Like the Outer Limits episode entitled “ZZZZZZ,” which everyone involved in the production referred to as “The Bees.”

All the universe . . . or nothingness. Which shall it be, Passworthy? Which shall it be?

reply

Why is IMDB now referring to it as The Heist?!

reply

IMDb lists The Heist as the title it was released under in the UK.
