Not surprised Hawn shut it off half way!

Although compotently made and well acted, the director made a pig's ear out of it, it was slow, lagging and spent too long on certain scenes, also could have been half an hour shorter

It could certainly stand to be a much shorter film because it loses a lot of momentum at 122 minutes. A lot of scenes go on way too long, and many just shouldn't be there. But it maintained my attention, more or less, so I gave it 7/10 stars.

I'm desperately trying to finish it and I'm not sure if I will. I try to finish every movie I start but this one is a chore.

It put me to sleep when Beatty was pulling off the slow motion heist in the vault and I would have drifted off into REM if it wasn't for that loud a$$ stopwatch. That said though, it did pick up considerably after the heist was discovered and the chase that ensued.

I'm a sucker for movies from the Seventies though so I was fine with it as a whole.

'Cause I'm Black you think I did it?

Keep in mind that part of its potential appeal resides in the mood, atmosphere, and setting. It gave viewers a window into the everyday environment of 'West' Germany, and, with the passage of four decades of changes, that window has become a bit more interesting to look through (for me, at least). But I'm a little bit biased because I like capers and chases and I love the sardonic jazz-noir sound of Quincy's score.

Yes, nice to watch as a period piece, but pretty bad as a caper movie. And I mean *dismally* bad!

Have it your way. I still like it.
