Was this the only prime-time animated series between The Flinstones and

The Simpsons? Can't think which other shows there might have been.

Im a few months laye but Huckleberry Hound, The Jetsons, The Alvin Show, and Jonny Quest were also prime time animated shows. Alvin was moved to Saturday mornings and Bullwinkle went from being a morning cartoon to a prime time one.

Hmmm...I didn't realize that "Alvin" and "Huckleberry Hound" started in prime-time. I knew about JQ, but its production budget was too cumbersome, so they wrapped and began airing the old eps on Saturday mornings. That ended in '72 amidst parental complaints about excessive violence in kids TV. NBC revived the show, however, in 1979, which is when I discovered it.

as I understand it, only 3 animated sitcoms made it more than one season: The Flintsones, WTYFGH and The Simspons.

After the Simpsons, everything changed but these were the first 3 not to get killed or moved out of PT

I think that's correct, although I'm not sure that WTYFGH lasted more than a season.

It definitely did. The second season had more celebrity guest appearances, such as Don Knotts.

Hanna-Barbera did have another prime-time animated show called Where's Huddles?. It only ran for part of the season in 1970.
