Sixth Sense is Night Gallery

Sixth Sense was 60 minute episodes cut into 30 minute segments and packaged/syndicated into airing under Night Gallery.
Currently MeTV shows Night Gallery and episodes where you see Gary Collins then it's actually Sixth Sense.
I wish they'd broadcast them as they were created but they are still fun to watch especially celebrity cameo episodes.

I don't consider 60 minutes to 30 minutes as "Editing". That's butchering.

Applying that term to medicine would mean a hangnail removal might cost you your whole arm!!!

If you'll forgive my saying so, I think some SIXTH SENSE episodes actually benefited from truncation. For example, "Lady, Lady, Take My Life" definitely worked better as a 30-minute episode.

It appears the repackaging was done while Rod Serling was still doing Night Gallery intros, since the half-hour Gary Collins Night Gallery I recently saw had a very specific introduction from Serling, complete with matching Night Gallery-style painting to go with the episode, even though it's listed here as an hour-long Sixth Sense episode.

It was "The Heart That Wouldn't Stay Buried," with Jessica Walter, Michael Murphy, Leif Erickson, and Laraine Day as the guest stars.
