Where's the film, then?!

Well, we have had the remakes of, "Mission Impossible", "The Avengers," and even the bloody, "Thundebirds", so why not the precious "Protectors." The untimely deaths of two of the lovely original stars should not put anyone off. This was a class series with one of the best theme tunes ever! (And I think Tony Christie is still alive and singing his heart our for, "Comic Relief"!)

Comeone, clever and rich film-type people. You want to make this, you just don't know it yet.

I'm not sure...
I think that The Protectors, like so many other shows really belongs in that period of dry martinis, British sports cars, dolly birds in tight skirts and stuffy military types called 'Sir Richard'.
Can you imagine how they'd have to change old Harry Rule nowadays, to make him fit with our hip, youth obsessed market?
I think the best thing to do is get the box set, and watch the eps in the period they really belong.
Beside, if movie moguls did start sniffing around, I reckon a Persuaders film would probably come first.

However, as I read your post, I am listening to Tony Christie singing, "Avenues & Alleyways," wich is hotly tipped to be No1 in the UK soon.

The Code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules.
