You will be forever missed. You were a ground breaker in so many ways on TV and one of the greatest comic actresses EVER. Rest in peace! I LOVE YOU.

I know she was in her late 80's but I am still going to miss her very, very much. RIP.

Loved her! Thank God we have so many great episodes of Maude and Golden Girls so younger generations can appreciate how amazing she was. RIP.

She will truly be missed. Years ago, i wanted to see her one-woman show, but never got the chance. I wish i did see it. i wonder if it is on DVD or something.

On the "Today Show" by phone Rue McClanahan said she and Bea Arthur got along together "like cream". Adrienne Barbeau said, "We've lost a unique, incredible talent. No one could deliver a line or hold a take like Bea and no one was more generous or giving to her fellow performers". Arthur was only five days older than Bill Macy.
