Kung Fu, from Blindspot writer Christina M. Kim, is inspired by the original 1972-1975 martial arts series starring David Carradine and created by Ed Spielman. The new Kung Fu tells the story of a young Chinese-American woman who drops out of college and goes through a life-changing journey in an isolated Chinese monastery. When she returns to her hometown, she finds it overrun with crime and corruption and uses her martial arts skills and Shaolin values to protect her community.

No thanks.More preachy SJcW B.S.Other than Supernatural the CW has gone to hell. Its a shame. The original is one of my all time favorite shows. This reboot will be nothing more than an SJW joke of its former self.Hell I have no doubt that the campy 90s continuation will be better than the reboot.

NO Thanks.

Looks at about 200 other shows where women do martial arts from the last 30 years...

And they still think we haven't seen enough?

reply

Oh boy, we get to see another 115 pound woman throwing around 200 pound bad guys like they are giant pillows.... who wouldn't want to watch that --- Me actually, and probably most of America... Sounds like a fucked idea, was it pushed by the morons that made the female Ghostbuster shit?

reply

Should call it Cunt fu

reply

Unless it's Beatrix Kiddo returning and Tarantino directing it, not interested.

In “Kung Fu,” A quarter-life crisis causes a young Chinese-American woman (Olivia Liang) to drop out of college and go on a life-changing journey to an isolated monastery in China. But when she returns to find her hometown overrun with crime and corruption, she uses her martial arts skills and Shaolin values to protect her community and bring criminals to justice…all while searching for the assassin who killed her Shaolin mentor and is now targeting her.
