This is one of my favourites TV shows until I saw Season 3

The first 2 seasons are simply amazing. I usually do not watch movies released 10 years from the current year. So for example, as of 2009, I do not watch movies older than 1999. That is because I dislike the bad movie quality, budget, and technology. Kung Fu was one of the exceptions. I loved the lessons that were taught in each episode.

Then a couple of weeks ago I started watching Season 3. If Kung Fu was stopped in 1975, I think I know why. The third season was horrible on so many levels.

1. They decided to reuse casts for different characters. I don't think I need to explain how wrong that is. You just do not do that in Television.

2. They chose not to cast Asian actors, instead, they make up characters who are just like Caine. White guys with an excuse to not look like Chinese... but are.

3. The episodes don't teach lessons anymore. Instead they get all mystical. Illusions, voodoos, creepy dark enemies. The biggest mistake Kung Fu made was going overboard with sci-fi.

Thats just from half of season 3. I stopped watching after "Cannon at the gate" or something like that. Ridiculous. You cannot argue that S3 is not the worst of the series.

So, to the original poster: Does that mean ten years from now, the movies you watch and actually like today suddenly won't be good enough for you anymore? (I hope for your sake movies suddenly start getting better and better, because that hasn't been the course of history so far.)

Thanks for stating your point in the first paragraph. I didn't read the rest of your post and saved myself the time. Way to go to limit your life experiences! I have seen films made in the 1920s that are far better than movies released last year. Open your mind, fellah.

Amazing & sad how many people share the OP's short-sighted attitude.

I remember the third season. It was as if the kung fu craze the series help create overwhelmed it!
