Great Show

Richard Boone raised the level of whatever he was in. Hec Ramsey was no exception. I know it is silly but I always saw Hec Ramsey as Paladin in his later years....

"What does it do?" Do? "It doesn't DO anything. That's the beauty of it." Jacques Heim/Louis Reard

You're right about Boone, he was a far more gifted and diverse actor than he was credited to be. In Boone's biography he mentions that Hec Ramsey was a lot like Paladin -- only older and fatter. Thank goodness he retained his charm and his way with the ladies!

I feel the very same way that both commenters here do. I was a bit too young to remember episodes of "Have gun will Travel" but I still remember the theme song. Boone was a great actor.
Hec Ramsey only ran 10 episodes because it was part of the NBC mystery movie series Which featured McMillan and Wife,Colombo,Hec Ramsey, and McCloud. All of those shows could have been made into seperate series. But you never know...Had they done that the quality may not have been as good.
