What's up with the DVD releases???

First they bring out "Greatest Hits", then "Ultimate Collection" (20 episodes), both compiling popular episodes from throughout the series. Now they're bringing out "Volume 1" which is the first 12 episodes in order?! What? I also noticed they're bringing out a single DVD for the 22 minute Easter Special.

I hear ya, I deliberately didn't buy any of the first DVD releases because I wanted the "Volumes" one so I can have the episodes in order. But no doubt many who weren't hip to the "Volumes" releases bought "Greatest Hits" in stores. Definitely a mess-up situation, bit of a rip-off to unsuspecting fans.

I only buy the volumes of a collection because I know the single shows they bring up evently wind up on a volumes or greatest hits box set.

Ok,so which one should i buy?
I don't want to waste my money and buy the same episode twice but i do want to buy as many episodes as possible.Does any one know if there are any plans on there being maybe a "Season 1" box set.I would buy the Volume 1,2,and 3 when they all come out but i don't want to buy them and then in a few months there will be a box set with all them on it.

Vol. 1 has the first 12 episodes of the show. I thought it was a 1st season set until I read an online episode guide that said the 1st season had 14 episodes in it.
In the booklet that comes with the disc set, it mentions that there were 36 pre-"Brown Hornet" episodes. I'm guessing that maybe the 3 volumes are the pre-"Brown Hornet" episodes in 3 volumes, 12 episodes at a time, right?
