New Emergency! TV Show Forum

I created an Emergency! forum last week after the announcement of the closure of IMDB message boards. It can be a permanent home for all that come here, or a temporary stopping/storage point for your valuable information, photos, and discussions.

However, nobody (one actually) has bothered to register, much lest make a post. I wanted folks to go over, register, and give some feedback to help tweak it to make it as good as it can get for a free forum.

If you want to save the history recorded on this forum, it's time to start migrating what you deem important. I will keep the forum alive as long as even a handful keep coming around. With it, there will be no more need to bump threads to save information. It will be easy to do a forum search and find what you vaguely remember someone posting, without having to dig and dig.

If nobody bothers to register and make a post by the time the IMDB message board's Feb 20 demise rolls around, I'll shut it down and let it fade into the sunset along with the history of the show.

Folks, I'm not asking you to join the forum I created. I'm asking you to quit whining about IMDB being lost and do something about it. Create your own forum. Dig up a dinosaur Emergency! forum and resurrect it. Do something more than copying this board to your hard drive and disappearing forever.

So far, nothing has happened except whine, whine, whine, bump, bump, bump. You have 10 days before this place is gone forever. It's not just the data stored here, it's the interaction with each other and sharing with new folks who stumble onto the show or the message board. That's gone forever if you just copy to your drive. Other IMDB boards I read have already moved on to new forums and some have up to a couple hundred posts. That's not bad for 70's tv shows.

I filled out and submitted my registration form as Oigirl1 and am now awaiting the email for confirmation. I've successfully registered on another proboard forum so hopefully it's working properly. I'll keep you posted in case it works and encourages other folks to register.

I'm sorry, but I've tried twice already and had no luck. I never got the confirmation either time. I also tried contacting the administrator, but it wouldn't let me contact them without being registered. I'm pretty sure I did everything correctly, so I'm not sure what the problem is. If you have any suggestions on what others steps I can take to resolve this I'm all ears. I really do want to join.

I have activated all that had trouble registering. The problem seems to be stemming from email verification so I've temporarily disabled it until that can be remedied.

I tried to register the other day and never got the email confirmation either. I found a prompt to re-send the confirmation email and was told it didn't recognize my email or user name. I'll try again...
