Is it me or are eps that prominently feature Dick Player (Playa?) bad?
Thinking mostly of his first ep and the ep where he escapes in a paliasse. They just seem weak and I don't mind if I don't see it all.

Simon Carter is the best character :D

I suspect McCallum would have enjoyed the change of pace. Definitely my favourite character, along with Preston and the Kommandant.

I don't dislike Player, but I kinda see what you mean. ;-)

Dick Player (Fnarr!Fnarr!) is rather like the actor's character in Secret Army. Now, if only he had performed a black mass.......

Is it just me, but Player reminds me a lot of Robert Webb in some shots?

Oh, dear, you have dated me there. Apparently Mr Robert Webb is an "actor, comedian, writer", thus making him a prime candidate for incarseration at Colditz.

The episode where they were hiding under the alter, I was secretly hoping for him to scream out "DIG THE MUSIC KIDS!!"

Neame is one of my fav actors.....although John Curtis and Dick Player could have been the same charater.
